POSTER SERIES

This personal process was made to express the exploitation of women in the media. Each poster has its own particular meaning within them. I chose three different eras during the 21st century and chose some of the most popular female celebrities during that time. The time periods include the early 2000s featuring Megan Fox, Christina Aguilera, Rhianna and Britney Spears. The mid 2000s era uses Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, the 3 hit stars during this time. They represent "growth" out of their Disney reputation and what they went through growing up as child stars and becoming adults, finding their own way. Lastly, I chose the latest stars of today: Zendaya, Olivia Rodrigo, Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish. These women are experiencing being a star during the times of intense social media and Tik Tok. ​All these women I chose to feature all have made amazing achievements through their talents and not because of their looks.
