TRAVEL GUIDE
This project from my undergrad is a Travel Guide for Castle Rock, CO. This guide provides the user a fun way to explore the city and is intended to be a keepsake. On each page, different colors are chosen depending on the location. For example, the Columbine Open Space Spread is red because of the large red barn at that location. The book has sketches of what each location looks like to help the user but allow them to experience the place without seeing it prior in photos.

I hand drew all the illustrations featured in this book. All I did was find the image of the location and either used the pen tool to create the lines or traced over it with the brush tool. I wanted to make sure it had a "sketchy" hand drawn look to it, to tie back to how it was actually created.

I chose Castle Rock for this project because the summer prior to the school year I worked on it, I visited the city with some of my family members. I was obsessed with Castle Rock and I vowed to one day move to Colorado after this trip. So I had to pick a city in one of my favorite states.
